This 100% twisted silk fiber is perfect for basketweave on 18 count canvas. If you are a pearl cotton devotee, try using this instead once. Silk is an inherently shiny fiber and as such the shine will not fade as the fiber is stitched with or as the finished piece is used. When choosing this fiber, make sure that the fiber color is fairly similar to the paint color. I do not think that this fiber gives enough coverage to completely change colors.
